Course Description

EverSafe Driving Program

This course is for organizations that depend on good employee drivers to compete in today's busy workplace environment. All organizations have employees who drive to and from work with their privately owned vehicle, or during the work shift in a company or privately owned vehicle. This means virtually every employee and their families can benefit by participation in this safe driving training.

The program is designed to be a 2 to 8 hour session with greater built-in flexibility to meet the needs of the organization. The information can also be adjusted to a brief safety presentation or a full day training session. Topics can be emphasized based upon the specific needs of an organization regarding their crash experiences and losses.

A training advisory committee of government and industry driving experts participated in the design and preparation of this program. The result is a training session that can be delivered in a variety of time frames, emphasizing the topics in key learning points important to a specific audience of drivers. Participants in the EverSafe Driving classes are sure to find the training interesting, relevant and valuable to reducing risk and improving driving performance.

Chapter 1 | Motor Vehicle Crash Statistics

Understanding how someone could be injured or killed in a crash is first step to collision avoidance.

Chapter 2 | Elements of a Motor Vehicle Crash

Breaking the crash down into elements (equipment, people, environment and the organization) allows us to show how each one contributes to the accident.

Chapter 3 | The Vehicle and Equipment

The more we know about our vehicle and equipment, the better we are at handling the potential for a collision.

Chapter 4 | The Driver

The drivers' ability, emotional, physical condition, and attitude can be predictors for a collision.

Chapter 5 | The Conditions, Environment & Other Drivers

Your best preparation and response to these circumstances is a good understanding of the potential for a crash, and the actions and maneuvers that can save you from injury or death.

Chapter 6 | The Organization & Supervisors

How to select, train and support drivers with a complete safety program also receives attention.

Chapter 7 | Analyzing the Crash

Participants in the class review a number of crash scenarios, using discussion and role-playing to make it interesting and applicable to real-life situations. Group participation is a very effective part of this session of the training.
