Course DescriptionEverSafe Driving Instructor CertificationEverSafe Driving Instructor Certification is achieved by attending a 2-day training session and includes the explanation of materials, a teaching demonstration and a session on handling records and maintaining certification standards. Cost & Class LocationThe instructor certification fee is $415.00 for member organizations and $465.00 for non-members. The fee covers all instructor materials, two days of instruction, continental breakfast and lunch. The instructor certification program is regularly offered in Seattle. This course can also be offered in other locations with sufficient registrations. If your organization is certifying multiple instructors, an instructor class can be held at your location. The fee for these classes is based on group size and trainer expenses. Elements of the TrainingThe following four components contribute to the success and safety of the driving experience: 1. Driver 2. Equipment 3. Environment 4. Policies and Supervision Training sessions emphasize the interaction of these components as they influence driver safety. Training Materials Requirement & CostCertified instructors are required to purchase a participant guide for each person they train (one certification card is included with each participant guide). Participant guides start at $4.35 per guide and are reduced on a sliding scale based on quantity ordered. Instructors who are members of the Evergreen Safety Council receive an even greater discount on book orders. Our special thanks to the EverSafe Driving Program Advisory Committee, which includes members of the Washington and Oregon Trucking Associations, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and representatives from industry and other governmental agencies for sharing their expertise in the development of this fresh approach to safe driver training. |
