What are the ongoing storage requirements for the manuals?Each time you generate a manual, it will be saved, in the directory you have specified, as a new version. The size of each manual will depend on how many of the individual safety programs are part of your final manual. You may wish to periodically eliminate previous versions of the manual. Who do I contact for Technical Support?Technical support for this software is available from NFIB/Washington. Call 800-307-2846. How do I create a manual?Safety manuals can be created in the Creating and Maintaining Manuals section. Follow the instructions on the pages. After you have completed your workplace assessment using the NFIB Washington Workplace CD and any checklists you feel necessary:
How do I edit my manual?To change the programs selected for or to re-export your manual:
You can also edit the completed manual using your computer's word processing software. How often should I update my manual?You should review and update your manual whenever there is a change in your workplace that introduces new equipment or chemicals or otherwise changes your operation. You should also review your manual at least annually to insure that training is being done in accordance with your plan, that you are keeping records of that training for each individual employee, and that the information in the individual safety programs is current. Where can I get information to update my manual?NFIB and Evergreen Safety Council will be creating updates based on changes in DOSH regulations.
