How do I get recertified as a Colorado P/EVO?

Colorado Pilot/Escort Vehicle Operators who have been certified through ESC or through an approved Colorado Training Agency can be re-certified through ESC.

ESC-Certified Colorado Operators

Prior to the card expiring, operators who are currently certified in the State of Colorado by Evergreen Safety Council are allowed to recertify for one additional four year period by taking an online proctored exam without attending a class. ESC holds records of class attendance and certifications, and will verify that the student attended a previous ESC classroom or online training.

Operators who only attended a testing session the last time they certified will be required to attend a full-day P/EVO training session.

Operators Certified Through an Approved Colorado Training Agency

Prior to the card expiring, Operators certified through an approved Colorado Pilot/Escort training agency other than ESC must provide written documentation verifying that the last attended training was either a testing or classroom session. If it was a classroom session, then the operator will be allowed to recertify for one additional four year period by taking an online proctored exam without attending a class.

Operators who only attended a testing only session the last time they certified will be required to attend a full-day P/EVO training session.
