Forklift Operator Training and Certification

Forklift Certification and Training (In-Person)

About our Forklift Certification Training

Evergreen Safety Council offers a 1-day-sit-down forklift training session which includes the formal instruction and practical (hands-on) training required by law. Other machines may be arranged for multi-person groups (all-terrain reach can be done at your location only, call for more information).

This class provides all the necessary classroom and practical training required by the forklift regulation and it prepares the participant for the site-specific evaluation required by the regulation (the forklift code requires that all forklift operators be evaluated by the employer by operating forklifts in the actual work environment).

Located in Kirkland, Washington, we serve Seattle and the greater Puget Sound area. We also have onsite and online forklift certification training offerings avaiable!

This class meets OSHA standards that require that all employees who operate powered industrial trucks be trained on the specific machinery they operate.

Forklift Basketball!

Forklift Basketball is one of several exercises we use to help operators learn how to safely use a forklift. Watch our short video below!

When is retraining required?

Forklift operator retraining is required every 3 years. Retraining is required sooner if the operator fails the evaluation, uses unsafe behavior, or has an accident or near miss. The forklift code requires that all forklift operators be evaluated by the employer by operating the forklifts in the actual work environment.
