This training is based on the federal regulations set out by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), as well as safety standards from ANSI/ITSDF.
Is this a forklift certification?
Per OSHA rules, there are three steps to forklift certification:
- Complete an OSHA-compliant classroom training (covered in this online course)
- Receive workplace training from your employer
- Be evaluated by your employer on the forklift you will operate on the job
Our course covers the first step—OSHA-compliant classroom training. Your employer is responsible for tracking your practical evaluation and certification. If you need practice on an actual forklift, we offer in-person classes to help you get up to speed.

What types of forklifts are covered in this training?
Our course provides operators with the knowledge needed to operate safely on a class 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 forklift. We also have a Class 7 add-on training for rough terrain forklift operators.
How will I receive my certificate of training?
At the end of the course, you’ll take a quiz. You have unlimited attempts to pass. Students who pass with an 80% or better will receive a certification of completed training that can be printed immediately.
