WITPAC Pre-Class Information

Follow the steps below to get ready for your class.

PLEASE NOTE: All required documents must be submitted and approved before your certification will be issued.

If your documents have not been received within 90 days following your class, you will have to start the process over, including retaking your course and paying the registration fee.

Step 1

Complete the online prep course

You must complete this step before the day of your class.

Click the button below to access your course. If you’re using a mobile phone, it’s recommended that you download the app and use it to log in.

To log in, enter “evergreen” as the domain.
For your username, use the email you provided during your registration.
Your password is “Evergreenissafe.”

Students who hold a valid, non-expired WITPAC certification do not need to complete the prep course.

The prep course gives you the knowledge you’ll need to participate in the instructor-led class, and it includes a prep exam that will prepare you for the in-class test. It usually takes 4-6 hours to complete. You can log out and come back to it as needed.

Step 2

Check your tech

If your class is online, make sure you have the right equipment and are comfortable using Zoom. Instructions are available on their website if you need help.

Your camera and microphone must remain on throughout the instructor-led session, including the exam.

Step 3

Gather your documents

Bring the following things to class:

A valid Driver License or CDL from any U.S. state or Canadian province (U.S. and Ontario Class A CDL or Class 1 from any other Canadian province/territory are accepted)
If you are a PEVO or steerperson, bring a valid PEVO certification from Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia, or Washington
Your student packet. We recommend that you print the packet prior to your class.

Step 4

Arrive or log in 30 minutes prior to class

If your class is in-person

You’ll receive your materials when you arrive. Remember to bring a pen or pencil to take notes.

If your class is online

Class starts at 7am Pacific Time. Log in to your Zoom class by clicking on the Course URL in your confirmation email. Bring the student packet (either a digital or print copy), and make sure to check your time zone to find the right start time for your class.

Step 5

Earn your certification

WITPAC certifications are digital-only.

Those who meet the course requirements and pass the exam with a 90% or better will earn a WITPAC certification (PEVO or CDL holders) or proof of completion. You will receive your digital certification or proof of completion via email 2-3 business days after passing your WITPAC exam. You may print it and/or save a digital copy for your records.

Your proof of completion may be upgraded to a full WITPAC certification if you submit a valid PEVO certification or CDL within 180 days of passing the WITPAC exam.

Retests

If you do not pass the exam, you may contact our customer service team to schedule a one-time retest, free of charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

For WITPAC students, what is the Canadian or Mexican equivalent of a U.S. Class A CDL?

For the purposes of WITPAC certification, we accept the following CDLs:

U.S. Class A from any state

Canadian Class 1 (all provinces and territories except Ontario)

Canadian Class A (Ontario)

Mexican federal license (Licencia Federal de Conductor) Categoria B or E

What are the requirements for earning the WITPAC certification?

To earn a WITPAC certification, you must hold one of these:

A Class A CDL from any state (or Canadian equivalent), OR
A valid P/EVO certification from Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia, or Washington.

You can still take the course without one of these qualifications. You will earn a Proof of Completion rather than a WITPAC certification.

If you earn a PEVO certification within 180 days of earning your WITPAC Proof of Completion, you may upgrade it to a WITPAC certification.

Can I upgrade my WITPAC Proof of Completion to a certification?

If you obtain a PEVO certification or CDL within 180 days of completing the WITPAC course, you may update your Proof of Completion to a WITPAC certification. Contact us for assistance at witpac@esc.org or (425) 814-3868.

I earned my WITPAC certification. Will I receive a physical card?

WITPAC certifications cards are digital. You will receive your card by email, and you may save it on a device such as your mobile phone, or print it out and carry it with you. With a digital certification, we are able to verify WITPAC cards using our database, which provides quick, secure, and reliable information to carriers, safety managers, and manufacturers.
